There are different methods used by schools to determine their final
aggregate score for admission of new student.
Some school rely on jamb score, whiles some rely on post utme score and we
als have school that rely on both jamb and post utme score.
The first category involve jamb score.
Most of the schools that rely on jamb score do not have the man power or
experience to grade student student in the order of their score from highest to
lowest.
The post utme is just conducted to make more money for the institution.
Most of the school that fall to this category will simply select student that
scored very high in jamb.
2nd category : many university, poly and college belong to this category, once
you are able to score upto average ( depending on the competition ) you will be
considered for admission.
To know you school average score, simply divide the total post utme score by 2
For instance 400/2 = 200 and 100/2 = 50
The 3rd category: this involve the combination of both you jamb score and your
post utme score.
It can easily be calculated if you follow the example below.
For instance you score 290 in jamb and you score 70 in post utme exam
Jamb score = 290/8 = 36.25
Post utme = 70/2 = 35
Aggregate score = 36.25+35= 71.25%
