UNILORIN Begins Admissions Into Postgraduate Programmes. The University Of Ilorin(UNILORIN), Kwara State Nigeria, hereby invite Applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into various Postgraduate degree programmes of the University.

A. POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES OFFERED
1. Ph.D. Degree Programmes are available to holders of M.A; M.Ed.; M.Eng.; M.Sc.; LL.M; M.Comm.H.; and M.P.H degrees, with a minimum of 60% score in their Master degree programmes.
A Ph.D. degree programme runs for a minimum period of 30 calendar months and a maximum period of 42 calendar months for Full-Time candidates OR a minimum period of 42 calendar months and a maximum period of 54 calendar months for Part-Time candidates.

2. Candidates who score between 55 and 59.9 percent should apply for admission into the Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degree programme.
The M.Phil. degree programme is available only to Full-Time candidates and it runs for a minimum period of 12 calendar months and a maximum period of24 calendar months. Candidates in this category are eligible for conversion to Ph.D. candidature following a progress assessment report to be made by a Panel of Examiners at the end of the first semester of registration.

3. M.A.; M.Ed.; M.Eng.; M.Sc.; M.Com.H., LL.M and M.P.H. Degrees, run for a minimum period of 12 calendar months and a maximum period of 24 calendar months for Full-Time candidates OR a minimum period of 24 calendar months and a maximum period of 36 calendar months for Part-Time candidates.
At the University of Ilorin, unless with a written approval of the University Senate, a Master or Ph.D. degree programme automatically lapses at the expiration of the maximum duration for each programme. However, a Master or Ph.D. degree candidate may apply for anextension of not more than 12 months, in the first instance, subject to a maximum of two such extensions.
4. All Master Degree Programmes, except M.Phil., are by course work, in addition to a research project report. M.Phil. and Ph.D. Degree Programmes are normally by research, except where relevant course work may be prescribed, where necessary. A dissertation is required for the M.Phil. programme and a thesis is required for the Ph.D. programme.

Is there any news about the 2013/2014 post utme yet?

This is to inform all the candidates that chose University of ilorin, (Unilorin) as their second choice in the 2013/2014 UTME that the school management has fixed the date for their post-UTME screening exercise

ELIGIBILITY
- Candidates that made the school their 2nd choice must have Scored a minimum of 180 marks in the 2013 UTME for all courses except those for which higher cut off marks have been specified on the University of ilorin portal;

- Candidates must Made the University of Ilorin their second choice either at UTME or Direct Entry (DE) and also;

- Obtained Five (5) Credits in relevant ‘O ’ Level subjects, at not more than two sittings excepting MB;BS where only one sitting is acceptable.

Eligible candidates should visit the University website at www.unilorin.ed u.ng to complete their registration online.

WARNING: all candidates should take note that assessing the University website through any of search engines may lead to redirection to other websites not associated with the University of Ilorin.

For further enquiries, candidates should contact preadmission2013@ unilorin.edu.ng . How to Apply The University charges N1,000.00 (One thousand Naira) only for the CBT exercise and N1,000.00 (One thousand Naira) only for the University processing fee.

Details on the step- by- step registration procedure are available on the University website www.unilorin.edu.ng. Registration for the Pre-admission screening will commence on Monday 1st July and end Sunday 14th July, 2013.

The Pre-admission Screening Exercise is scheduled to take place from Monday, 15th to Saturday 20th July, 2013 using Computer Based Test (CBT) platform at Ilorin and Lagos Centres .

The deadline for the online registration is 14th July, 2013. However, candidates awaiting results but who have registered on or before 14th July, 2013 have the opportunity to submit their results online on or before 15th August, 2013 when the portal will be closed.

This is to inform the general public and all the prospective students of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) who registered for the 2021/2022 Post UTME screening exercise with awaiting O’level results are urged by the school management to upload their O’L result, (i.e. WASSCE/NECO/GCE/ Cambridge A level) on or before 15th August, 2013.

From the information published on the official Unilorin portal and memo posted on the school, any of the prospective student who failed to submit his or her O’Level results after 15th August, 2013 may likely forfeit their chance of gaining admission into the Institution for the 2013/2014 academic session.
